The design and manufacturing process of Albacore reel stems   from a collaborative effort involving all of the staff at Alutecnos. A commitent aimed not only at improving the technological  content, but  also at paying attention to design. The result is a  product  that stands out for aesthetic and technical aspects  with  outstanding attention to details. Such details include the  infinite "antireverse"  system  applied  to trolling  reel for the first time. The frontal cam and lock release button for placing  the  automatically  rearming gear  lever  into  "free" or "full" mode.  Five  bearings  and gears made from tempered stainless steel guarantee further resistance from corrosion. The system  for  anchoring  the  reel to  the rod is robust and reliable using four anchor screws.  The  drag washer is made from  the latest  carbon  composite  and  is  appropiately  protected to ensure  smooth and consistent  use  during  the  most  intense battles,  the  occurrence of "stick-slip" is  virtually eliminated.  All of  the  aluminium parts  have  been  buffed ultrasonically cleaned,  polished  and  anodized  with a gold or silver finish. All  of the  parts have  been  machined  from  bars  using  CNC working  processes and are subjected to rigoroud dimensional and quality control checks. Particular attention  is  paid  to processing cycles  and  the careful selection of the highest quality  of  raw  materials  and components available. The results in a  technically  perfect product.

The special assembly technique permits all screws (made exclusively from stainless steel AISI 316) to be looshed even after long periods in harsh marine environments. The graphic are applied using computerised laser technology. Eleven models are available from 12 to 80/130 lbs all in right and left  hand version. These and more others are the technical characteristics that make the albacore reel an incomparable and reliable product. ONE SPEED "VELOCE"

The family of Albacore reels is getting bigger. Easily recognizable thanks to the blue colour of the handle and drag release button, the 20 lbs Veloce reels keep unchanged all the characteristics that made them famous in the standard version and differ only for the ratio which in this case is 6,2:1 (instead od 4:1), so as to allow an easy and swift retrieving of line.

ONE SPEED "GORILLA" 

Small, powerful, elegant and immediately recognizable, this is the synthesis of the new Albacore 12 and 20 Gorilla reels. With its MULTI DRAG DISC that can be set over 40 lbs, a guaranteed free-spool, and a 4,4:1 ratio that proves to be perfect with this high power, it will be possible to lie in wait for and pull quickly on board preys that otherwise with conventional reels would be very difficult if not impossible to catch. Expressly studied for extreme deep-jigging, it stands out not only for its powerful and functional performance, but also for its elegant look, silver anodizing, drag release button and red coloured handle. ONE SPEED "GORILLA 12C" 

Powerful, light and above all compact, with a new and unmistakable look, designed and studied in all details to make it an important reference for those who love vertical jigging. New “GORILLA 12C”,  narrower, integrated drag-preset and drag side plate with ergonomic design for the utmost comfort during fishing action. Retrieve ratio 4,4:1, a longer operating lever that, combined with the aluminium power handle, allows to generate a considerable power to better exploit the “MULTI DRAG DISC” which can be set over 40 lbs with guaranteed free-spool. All in only 680 grams of weight.
Moreover, it maintains all other main mechanical characteristics that havemade the “GORILLA 12 and 20” famous on all the seas all over the world.
